Nothing the place was full of drunken navvies and shop fitters ! It was like staying in a young offenders detention centre! I've experienced nothing like it !

I'd sooner stay on a park bench with the winos !

Stayed there before so knew what to expect. Improved by having all night receptionist.

Available warm drinks from machine so not very nice. Huge increase in rates for a Saturday night. Noise from other guests.

The staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was much better than I expected

Only one plug in room, but on budget, great value for money

short distance into the town centre and cheapness (£9) in a taxi, friendly and helpful staff.

noise on an evening people moving between rooms and talking in the corridor, the toilet and shower facilities - these were like porta cabbin toilets and were unuseable in the morning due to people not cleaning up after themsselves.

    Good location.

It's a hostel not a hotel or Inn.

It is not a hotel, but a base for the students who come to Newcastle to get drunk and disorderly. Well, there should be a place for such establishments, but they should not be called hotels. Extremely noisy. Unfriendly neighbours.

    Price!

They really are showing there age and I have been a fan of the F1- Metro inn pakage but they are now looking poor! Carpets and paint, doors and locks all looking tried!I I would only recomend the Hotel on Price!

Upon arrival having booked on line, there was no reservation details available which led to some confusion. The room had a broken blind, dirty carpet. Although the bed was comfy clean and made daily. Towels are readily available as required. Only one socket at the desk area and two above the bed. No plug for the wash basin, showers and wc are clean and adequate. A kettle in the rooms would sufice.

The beds had fleas all of my friends woke up with bite marks, The lights in the toilets/ showers went off during use. For the 3 nights I stayed, I had to shower in the dark. Would not stay there again.

The Metro Inn was close to the A1/M1 and near Metro Centre. It was also an easy drive into Newcastle City Centre. A nice eating and drinking establishment is next door and gives an opportunity for a relaxing evening meal or a quiet drink.

The Metro Inn was full of young adults, who were visibly seen drinking alcohol in the main corridors. The noise in the early hours was bad, although staff were quick to address this issue. The 2 rooms that I had booked, had both been damaged in various places, with windows and heaters not hanging correctly and in need of repair. The communal showers were spacious and nice, although the toilets had been blocked by other residents. The carpets were smelly and holes could be seen on the walls. This venue seemed to be used for Stag and Hen nights and definately not suited for a quiet family orientated stay.

Was good for the lads night out we planned. £10 taxi into the city and easy to find off the a1. Reasonable for the price if youre not planning on spending much time in the hotel.

Communal showers and toilets. Checkout bit early at 10am
